Frank, Regarding your nipples, 948's, at least those with H1's, didn't use fuel hoses at the mechanical fuel pump. The fuel line from the tank was coiled at the pump and then went directly into the pump. The fuel line from the carbs also went directly into the pump. The only hoses used were those between the carbs and the metal fuel line at he carbs.
