The problem is snobbery, period. It's the same reason so many Midget and B
and TR owners don't acknowledge Miatas -- it's like they haven't had the oil
leaks so they haven't paid their dues so they don't get to know the secret
handshake. It's just stupid.
This same phenomenon is discussed ad nauseum on the motorcycle lists. Most
bikers will wave when they pass each other, but Harley riders generally will
not wave to Japanese motorcycles. Bottom line: people who ride motorcycles of
any kind (or sports cars of similar type) have far more in common than they do
in difference. Time for everybody to lighten up.
