Hi, Bill....
How long are they? Can you run them in
any commercially available filter "can"
(K&N, Pipercross, whatever!:).
You never want to run a street engine without a filter unless you are in
a position
to easily replace engines when they go
as they will be going "before their time"
if run unfiltered, all other things being equal. Read the appropriate
section in
Vizard's book for more on this, Bill.
If they are the "long" velocity stacks or
rams, you can build a cool air can for
the entire set-up, installing a K&N
conical filter in the "outside air" tube
feeding the can. See Jacques LeClainche's website on his cool air
box set-up.
You can always remove the filter or
can for "show".
