This is timely for me.
In my MKII, I changed over to a 3.9 rear end this summer. It did stretch out
the top end...but it also finished off my clutch. The 948 is a stock with
the 1.25" SU's & the 1098 exhaust manifold. I also have a 948 that I got
when I bought the car (and another) which had been bored out .120 over. We
put in new pistons, had the crank turned, came with a new street cam, and
had it line bored. Unfortunately, I can't afford the 5-speed conversion kit
at present (although I have the 210 tranny). So I plan to pull the
engine/tranny, replace the clutch, use the newly rebuilt 948 w/t oversized
pistons & the same old tranny/3.9 rear end....and an oil cooler with the
existing down flow radiator.
Where can I get info so that I can get Paul A's kit ?
Also, my MKII can be seen on www.justbrits.com
