I would say very nicely, considerng the
ratios & spacing of ratios in the original smoothcase and even a later
ribcase,
as compared to the Datsun box.
The smaller engine will most certainly
appreciate the 5th gear for level road
cruise as well as the reduced drag
of the better toleranced Japanese box.
Once the 948 wears out, a step up to
the 1275 should be no major problem
except for a clutch change. Don't
know about Paul's kit but Rivergate's
latest rear engine plate I believe is
good for all three Series A motors.
And email to Rivergate (right coas/southern US) and/or
Morriservice (Paul Asgeirsson - left coast
or northern US) should confirm all.
