I think they would, Jacques. The BFG R1 tires that Team Thicko was gloating
over earlier this year were Formula Ford tires that had been superceded.
I was talking to Bill Perry at Rivergate the other day (What a beutiful
thing is the LCB header he sells!), and he commented that they get most of
their autocross tires at the racetrack out behind the tire truck. Seems that
the Ford Spec racers need every possible edge, so they change tires at a
fearsome rate. Bill says he can get a lot of autocrossing out of their
discarded tires. Maybe I need to go to a couple of races and pick up some
tires... Always a little afraid of catchin' that racin' bug.
