Howdy all
On my bugeye I was having some missing problems, so I decided to clean the
points, which I did just fine, and I set the gap and reinstalled them, car
ran a little different but not much (maybe imagination) I ordered new points
and put them in today. The car would not start at all. I checked the
condenser wire like the other fellow was just having troubles with, and it
was fine. So I decided to put the old points back in,,,walla car runs,,, so
I figure something I did with the new points is different, so I put them
back in,,,car don't run,, I repeated this 4 times, (Im Stubborn lol) and
every time the car will run with the old ones, and not with the new ones.
Other than the obvious TO LEAVE OLD POINTS IN LOL what could the problem be?
I think with the amount of times it is clear that I am gapping them correct,
and making sure wires aren't grounded etc. and the test has the same results
each time old works, new doesn't?
Any thoughts?
