Subject: Silver Bugeye for sale? Maybe
List
Remember the Silver and Purple Bugeye I bought on e-bay, and had shipped via
the list from Wisconsin to New York?
Well it has been sitting in my garage looking pretty, but not sure if I am
ever going to get to it within this century.
It is a complete 59, and needs floors, interior, top, and I can't tell you
the condition of the engine, tranny, or rear end. But except for a gas cap
and lamps lens it is all there.
I paid $1700 for it on ebay, which seemed like a bargain at the time, and
have around $300 plus into it in transportation expenses.
At this point I think it needs a loving home. I don't want the see the car
parted out as I think it is very restorable. I have the original Wisconsin
title, which was transfered, and then a bill of sale from the tranferee to
me. Not sure how this going to fly at the DMV. I was at one point told by
the
Wisconsin DMV that if certain transfer taxes were paid, a new title could be
issued to a Wisconsin resident. But that might mean living behind the Peter
C's parts bin for a period of time.
At this point I would be happy to get back what I have have put into it.
I have pictures of the car, which I can send to any interested parties.
Chuck has seen the car and can give you his own evaluation.
I suppose if push came to shove I could trailer the car to Sprite Spree.
That
weekend is my wife's birthday so not sure how long, if at all I can stay.
Contact me if you want to see the pics.
