Let us not forget many of the 1500's other "features".
The single ZS carb to make sure neither too much oxygen or fuel get to
the engine.
The cooling system designed to run at a balmy 240 degrees plus.
The Lucas "what were we thinking" electronic ignitions.
The thrust bearing that automatically drops into the oil pan when it's
worn.
The bearing free cam shaft design.
The oil test ports AKA front and rear seals.
The intermittent fan clutch.
The fuel pump with the break away arm feature.
The alternator with the #1 spark plug protection feature.
The heavy duty 40 pound air injection pump.
The "run dry" oil free rocker arm design.
I'm sure I'm missing a few more of the little Triumph's endearing
qualities.
