I remember all of those memories that you posted, except we did have a car 40
Chevy in 1950 and then we really moved up because in 1955 we got a 50 Buick,
gunmetal grey, my Dad thought he was in heaven, not only that, we had a TV
when i was about 4 or 5, early 50s
Good job collecting your thoughts.
BTW, it is all the way up to the low 20s outside my kitchen, but it is a
beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and really, really fresh air from
Canada, not the usual stale stuff that the midwest sends to us.
