yes the cam and crank ARE the same size. 
i would also advise getting an open end too, so you can do your valve
adjusting easier.. umm i can anywats on tinkerbell. 

i use (ok here we go again..) grade 8 on my pan bolts. i make em tight, but
not too tight to squish out the gasket.
