And don't assume that using an ohm/continuity meter always works to diagnose
problems. On my '59 Bugeye, my horn would not work even though the meter
showed it was grounded. Since the horn push grounds through the steering
column which only grounds through the steering gearbox, it was not until I
wrapped a bare, woven metal strap around a bare part of the rotating
steering shaft, and grounded the strap, that I was able to get enough juice
through the horn to make it work.
