Well, Dave-
A "good" Series A runs about 60psi at
3.000 rpm when thoroughly warmed up
and idles (800rpm or so) at 20+. "50"
and "10" respectively, are more or less
minimums in each case.
Assuming an accurate gauge, this does
not mean it's going to come apart tomorrow, but I'd be gentle with it
'til
you have the pressure problem checked out. Could be an innaccurate
gauge, sticking oil pressure reliefe valve, worn
mains or oil pump, etc. A lot of the time
it's a sticky reliefe valve or gauge.
Hey....it runs, but.....
And, yeah....I sure do know you can fill
with oil at a rate which will "overflow"....
ask me how I know!! :)
