I visited Speedwell (visited from from Australia) a few years ago, and found
Tom Colby to be very friendly, helpful and generous with his time.
Perhaps you just got him on a bad day...

hmm,
he seemed very cold and uninterested when i spoke with him via phone a
couple of years ago. left me with a unfavorable impression. i could be
wrong, but that is how he left me feeling after i got off the phone.
