Really, Bob K.?
Now this is really surprising, especially
for vehicles that go with "gray" or
"orange" set-ups and lightened flywheels for upgraded motors.
Haven't used the original T/O bearing
for 20+ years since I went to "tuned"
applications and got tired of pulling motors to replace carbon types
which
just couldn't stand up over time, while
replacing perfectly serviceable discs
and pressure plates. (I mean you've
pulled the engine so why not renew
everything....cheap insurance!) Of
course, my driving style was a little
different back then....though I was
never into breaking tires loose in
terms of acceleration despite torquey
set-ups ("smooth" but more "agressive
pedal" on a continuous basis).
Well, different "strokes" (nice play on
words, eh?) for different folks, I guess!! If it works for
YOU.........go with it!! :)
