Look at the diagram again, the fuse rating is listed there (1/2 amp).
This is obviously intentionally a very small rating so it will blow in
ten seconds or so. I think most small toggle are rated at least 15 or 20
amps which should be plenty for that single circuit. You could always
skip the fuse and just have the switch, but the idea is that a potential
thief would be more discouraged by finding himself stranded in the open
somewhere rather that havin the opportunity to work surreptitiously in
some secluded location until he found your concealed switch.
