Winter motor rebuild

Looks like the Works Midget is going to be eating my credit card!  Machine
shop guy says "You outta try to find a rebuilt crank or a  good welder for
this thing."  Gee, I just got over the "new pistons" bad news.  
Before I call around to my favorite parts mongers, I thought someone on the
list might have a good crank to sell.  I need to compare cost versus having
one rod journal welded up and ground.
