The list is really timely (almost). I just came in from pulling my own
tranny (for the first time) - I had pulled the engine first 'cause I did
that the day before everybody was giving advice on taking engine and tranny
out together.
Anyway, I just came in and read some very good advice on being sure to drain
the tranny before pulling it. (remember what I said I was doing before I
came in?) Luckily I had lots of sawdust around the garage.
Whoever this advice was intended for - pay attention, the gentleman knows of
which he speaks.
If anyone needs to know the oil capacity of the midget ribcase tranny it's
about 1/32 inch high and 15 square feet when spread out. (A little math
should tell you how much that is in quarts).
