1. Gerard's idea - Larger water pump pulley will slow down waterflow and
allow more time in radiator at higher
speeds (rpm's) and reduce tendency
to cavitate at 4,000RPM cruise
2. What Annice did not tell me in her post
was what you told me in your's. They
had their installation dynoed and installed
by Judson technicians.
I knew there had to be something they
did to get their supercharged Sprite to
perform at highway speeds in hot
weather with no problems whatsover.
A dyno takes all factors into consideration
and adjustments in timing and jetting are
done according to CO, EGT, coolant temp
and whatever other objective parameters
are available to the operator/tuner.
Annice and Bob have "pointed the way"
to all concerned.
They did it "properly" to begin with and
obviously, it was done right to the extent
Annice believes the supercharged 948/4.22 was designed to cruise
American
highways at 2/3rds it's rated rpm in hot
weather with no overheating problems
whatsoever.
You couldn't ask for a better testimonial
to their method now, could you!? :)
