David, look again carefully at the big- end bearing and cap. It will be "offset" from the centre line of the rod. Where the end that locates the bearing shell blends into the rod there is more of a shoulder on one side than on the other. These "shoulders" should face each other for pistons 1 and 2 and for 3 and 4. > Thanks for the scan.
