In NC it is quite common for dealer groups to get together and offer
a local "Special" edition. (Especially Ford trucks here ;-) ). Maybe
that's what happened with Bev's Midget. Could have even been just that
one dealer. All he'd need is an optioned out Midget, the "Special"
stripes and a 76-76 badge.
He'd have the Midgets on his lot, the "Special" stripes could come
from his own parts dept and be installed by his own shop. The only
thing he'd have to specially source would be the 1776-1976 badge, and
these would likely have been easily found in catalogs of the day.
