Gawd, I didn't want this to go this far but I can't help
but respond to this nonsense.
So, list, please forgive me.
Yep, I was right, Ron. Youll definitely not a southerner.
Southerners are traditionally known for their hospitality
to all who wish to come and reside here. I like to think
that is one of the reasons why the South is today the
fastest growing section in the country. The future is here.
And certainly theres no objection to newcomers bringing
their ethnic food with them. I personally love it.
The vittles you speak of are indeed great stuff.
I particularly have a fondness for New York style cheese
cake, although, for whatever reason, Ive never been
excited about Pizza. Thats an Italian dish, isnt it? I
lived in Upper Darby, Pa. for four years during my youth
and enjoyed every day of it.
No one is an outsider in Florida anymore, that is unless
you just want to be, Ron, including many other places
north of here what is refered to as the industrial South.
But, still, there are many places in the South and including
Forida, believe it or not, thats pretty much the same old
South and for the most part I wouldnt want it any
other way.
But I must say, Ron, that it is sad that all you managed to
learn during your stay here is just what you brought down
with you. And I might add, I doubt that you have seen much
of the real Florida other than just what you wanted to see.
Otherwise, you would know that theres a lot more here
than hot climate, beaches, shapely girls, food and those
things your momma cooked for you.
Since you found it necessary to bring up the Confederate
flag subject I can tell you that I have mixed emotions about
it. However, it does seem that eventually it will be no further
a problem for the offended and like as a good soldier it will
eventually just fade away.
And, David .... based on your comment, what you know
about Forida, like Ron, is damn very little.
