Thanks Gerard
I have the steering column out so that should help
With any luck I'll install engine and tranny tonight and try to fire it up on
Saturday after the honeydo list is finished

Tommy,
1. Look carefully at the disk, it is usually labeled. If not, the best way
I can describe it is the side which center entends the furthest, goes
toward the pressure plate.
2. If you have a header, it probably can't be installed in advance. It will
foul the steering column and usually needs to be snaked through the frame.
If you have an exhaust manifold, it's your choice, though the coulmn may
still get in the way. I prefer to install them after the engine is in.
3. Starter is easier while the engine is out.
4. Motor mounts are managed easier if they are off until you have the
engine in position.
5. Don't put oil in the tranny before you install it, it will all leak out,
but don't forget to fill it once it's in.
Have fun.
