My experience of running a 286 cammed Sprite on a 45 DCOE on a straight
pipe 
with the silencer hanging loose, on the public highway,  is to make the
most 
of it, keep the pedal to the metal, shift as often as possible and ENJOY
THE 
EXPERIENCE.  

Just what do you think I did? My room at the BEQ was about a hundred
yards from the flightline. I happen to enjoy the sound of jet engines.
