My 30 year old Sears compressor had the same problem a couple of years ago.
I found a guy in the yellow pages that advertised that they repaired
compressors.  They had a similar pressure regulated switch that fit just
fine with a couple of new plumbing fittings.  I installed it and as I recall
the whole thing was about $25 - $30.  Unfortunately, the place I got my
parts is no longer there, an F16 doing a straight up take off lost power and
the plane crashed into the business.  If you have a problem finding the
parts let me know, I will go take a look at mine and see if I can find a
part number and  manufacturer.
