Hello List,
After a month of no car, I got a glorious three days, and then... Kaput!
That seems to be my average lately. I had the car on the charger all night
and it still wouldn't crank today. I've checked the battery water and the
generator is newly rebuilt (I installed it just last week). The dash
ignition light is on with the switch and then goes off once the car is
cranked (it came on when the woodruff key crumpled and the pulley worked
loose on the last gen I had installed, so I think it works properly). So,
if my battery is in good condition (It's only about a year old), and my
generator seems to be working properly (I didn't have this problem with the
non-tach drive Lucas generator I had previously installed), why is my
battery in need of a jump start?
