3sg s' were only sold in FWD format in the sates, so some more tweaking is
in order. Distribuor has to be moved etc... the s engine series came in
Celicas, and 2nd gen mr2s. yes and even the 3sgte (turbo). Long block, they
can be had from a number of different engine importers for around $1.5k-2k.
These are guaranteed 6 months, and suposedly have less than 50k miles on
them. As far as everything i have read, the 4ag is the older of the 2. It
was in the corolla GTS' & early mr2s for along time in different formats
RWF, FWD etc...3sg is what finally replaced the 4ag in the mr2 and corolla
gts'. The celica went to the 6 cly (supra) later I belive.
