Many, many miles on a number of different engines all running unleaded
gas with stock heads. Never a problem.

Not knowing Singer gauges, but they may bolt right up to the Sprite
engine/radiator. Sprites used mechanical oil/temp (combo) gauge.
You may have to find an adaptor.
