convert the clutch type fan to the older constant fan
(it'll cool better believe it or not). >>
Not sure why this would be done. My 1500 has never has an overheating
problem, and if anything, ran too cool until I replaced the thermostat with a
195 degree thermo. I just returned today from a 400+mile trip in the
1500--today especially was a hot day. The temp guage stayed comfortably
right in the middle of the guage. I would guess if you overheat, the problem
is not the fan, but a clogged up radiator system, a pump that isnt pumping
properly, or some other reason. If the clutch fan is malfunctioning, that
would be a reason to replace it for sure.
