fan pulley shims?

Spridgeteers,

I am installing the generator, etc. on the rebuilt engine and find 
that the belt seems to be running a little crooked. The fan pulley 
seems to be a little further back than it should be. Are there 
washers or shims that are supposed to be positioned between the 
pulley and the water pump?
