poppet valve woes.

Hi,
You may query as to replacing the plate with non-poppet type plates.
Also, if your throttle shafts are loose in the carb body, your idle will
be all over the place.  What size carb is it?  I think I have some HIF6s
that have the holes soldered.

I've heard tale of SUs being modified with ball bearing throttle shafts
like Weber DCOEs.  Anyone have knowledge of this?
