One tool I found to be of real value was the transparent spark plug that lets
you see the color of the flame.For safety's sake you look at it through a
mirror. It is called Colour-tune I believe and is sold by the usual sources.
About $40 bucks. It has solved several carb problems for me.
I have always been told that float adjustment is likened to a "rough"
mixture setting , and jet position was a "fine " adjustment. In the end, the
float adjustment should result in the level of fuel being just below
----1/16 inch ?------- the top of the jet hole as observed with the dome
chamber removed. Bob
