I have had some luck with this task by zipping the pictures into a .zip file
first, then e-mailing it as an attachment. Just a suggestion.

The zip file is a good idea the only draw back that comes to mind is that the
Mac folks do not use zip files. There may be translators to get zip files
into to a Mac file format but I have not actually looked for for such an item.
