A college friend had a white Satellite wagon of late 60's vintage. The gas
tank had a leak, so filling it more than halfway was pointless, and the gas
gauge didn't work. Another page in the book "How Did We Survive Our
Twenties?"
I know we're talking about Ramblers here, but it seems to me they were a lot
alike in those days, at least in the sense that they were solid, no frills
cars that would take an enormous amount of abuse, and usually looked like
they had gotten it.
