yeah like what's in a name? with my last name and this time of year it is
just a wonderfull holiday.
pronounced like krist, please. but!!!!!!! here it comes. this is the
truth! like i am serious!!!!!
i was born in bethlehem pennsylvania in st. lukes hospital. yes and
december 16th to boot( why oh why not like june or july!) (thanks mom and
dad!!!) in bethlehen we had a large hispanic population and glad mom and
dad were of a germanic origin or you got it i might have been named
"jesus"!! now just up the road is nazareth pennsylvania, mario andretti's
place of residence.
here comes the part i was setting you all up for! when i turned 21 and was
able to go to bars and purchase alcohol in pennsylvania(thank god jersey was
just over the deleware and norton's cork and bottle was usually open late
and their drinking age was 18!) i would get carded before entering a bar or
purchasing at a state store. you have no idea how many times i heard" hey
check this out! we got a christ from bethlehem, and he was born in december
too!" and i would reply yup and nazareth is just up the street! it was
always good for a laugh and more so at christmas time. so ho-ho-ho it's not
where you go but who you know!
no one ever denied me acess i guess it is my size? but since that was
before pennsylvania had picture drivers lic. it was mentioned that i should
get "another fake id. since this one is not that good". if it was fake no
one would have ever said a thing (except behind my back after the fact),
*sigh* it was real.
so with this little alcohol related story i wish all of you a happy and safe
holiday season, and the best of health in the new year. oh yeah and may all
your oil leaks be small ones.(can't forget the cars).
