Andy,
I'm running a DHLA 40 on my 1275 bugeye, and so far it seems to be working
great. I followed the jetting/choke suggestions in Vizards book, and also 'how
to build and power tune Weber and delorto DCOE and dhla Carburetors' (speed pro
series). The recommeded components for the DHLA 40 for a 'modified 1098 are as
follows:
All use emulsion tube 5
choke 32
main jet 145
air cor. 200
pump jet 40
idle jet 55-98
Aux. Vent. 4.5
The book say that the biggest problem that most people have is that they tend
to
think that 'bigger is better, and it is actually much better to go more
conservative. Sop if any of your components are under spec, I would suggest you
try it out first before you start modifying any thing.
Regards ,
