My Brother drove from melbourne to sydney on monday. Took 12 hours, sat on 110kmh (65mph) 4500rpm cruise with bursts at 5500rpm. He got an average of 8.25litres/100km or about 33mpg(imperial) He's happy with these figures.seems the short twin system from a LCB header on a 12G295 head works OK. his distributor has no vac advance so that wouldn't help the mileage any.
