Hi all, yesterday my little brother and I took the hot rod ranger on a road
trip to check out the latest car in the barn story. We found three of the
saddest LBCs anybody would ever want to see. Two bugeyes and a Mk 2 Midget
that are beyond restoration. I swear the only thing holding them up is the
door latches. Hey, they don't call this the rust belt for nothing! The proud
owner of these cars wants $1500 for the Midget and $1000 each for the
bugeyes [ I guess they were cheaper because they don't have engines in
them]. He won't even talk about anything less. He said if he couldn't get
that out of them, he'd scrap them. My brother, who isn't known for his
diplomatic skills, told him to "stick a fork in 'em, 'cuz they were done!"
We were invited to leave after that but I had seen enough to turn my stomach
anyway. I suppose they will just sit out there and rot into the ground. I
really hate to find things like that! Jim K.
