Hi Matthew,
Those pesky dissy can be a pain. It sounds like the drive dog is in wrong.
This
is the lower shaft that runs to the cam. Although the slot looks like it will
fit either way, it is actually off set. Try pulling the lower dog gear and
placing it 180 degrees out. It can be pulled with a long bolt by threading it
into the top and pull with a twist. Try this and see if it helps.
