On my last trip back to Tulsa, (To get the X1/9) I made it from
Clarksburg, WV to Jenks, OK (~1050 miles) in 15 hours pulling my
trailer. That was on a Thursday, arrived around 7PM. Sunday I left
around 5 and stayed over in St. Louis. i don't recall when I woke up
but I was back in Clarksburg by nightfall Monday. Not too badly beaten
up and back to work on Tuesday.
I'm doing it again (as my lst note stated) next week but I'm taking more
time off, to pack and close on the house.

:Hi Alan,
:
:Mapquest (http://www.mapquest.com) shows it as being 1097 miles each way.
:That's at least four days round trip probably five figuring the time to
:hitch up the car and driving slower on the way back with the load. On a
:good day I can do 500 miles in a nice big rental car not towing anything.
:Anything over that and it gets dangerous. I drive between NYC and here
:often and that's about 500 miles. Depending on traffic that takes me 8 to
:10 hours. I personally don't like to drive much more than that in a day.
:
:In any event, I can't afford to lose three days to a week of work right
:now. Thanks for the info though. If this doesn't pan out I'll just keep
:looking closer to home for a relatively rust free body.
:
:Thanks,
:
