Larry, I bought my 110v mig about 12 years ago and have put allot of wire through it. It came with the gas tank. I've tried flux core wire in it, but do not get the "clean" welds that I get with the tank. Also, flux core wire will deteriorate if left out in the air for a while in your garage. Especially if it is damp. You will notice real dirty welds and allot of spatter. Just for an idea on price, I paid $450.00 for mine in 1987. Best tool that I ever bought.
