The generator does not last that long. It works but only for about 2.5 hours. That's when you see just how good your battery is. I went through this every year returning from Carlise. I lost the battery about 5 miles from home! Not any more, I have an alternator and nice bright headlamps. Same problem, different Sprites all with generators.
