MGB Motor Mounts

Meant to ask this the other day, but it got lost somewhere 'twixt the car
and here.....

On an idling MGB 18V engine, just how much side-to-side shake should I
see?  Maggie seems to sway a couple of inches, while sounding as if she's
idling smoothly; if I apply a little gas, she leans a bit to the right
and steadies.

Bad motor mounts?  And is there a quick check?
