Hope you had a great New Year's Day!
I have a spare DR3A wiper motor that I am trying to revive.
It's the square type with two lucar connectors on the armature
box and one just above the 150-degree gear - most likely for
returning the wipers to their resting position.
However the problem is that the armature doesn't move freely
in the yoke. It sticks badly and I have to use a lot of force
to turn it with my fingers. If I remove the yoke/brush box
then it rotates just fine.
So, should I remove some metal with coarse sandpaper (or what other
method) from the yoke?
What are the "adjustable armature bushes" for?
I don't want to throw the whole thing away without some experiment,
but, boy, the amount of grease on my fingers....wow!
Thank you
