Well, so much for terminology. If, in the US, you were to ask for a ball
joint, you will never get a tie rod end. My error, I forgot how wide the
audience is. I also never suggested that a king pin would ever be called a
ball joint. My unsuccessful attempt at humor (albeit slight) was to
indicate that one either has ball joints OR king pins as they are 2
different methods of accomplishing a similar task namely attaching the
wheel and enabling turning.
What the heck, I've been misunderstood all day. Bad day.
And Daniel, you don't "have" to disagree, though you're certainly welcome,
just be gentle.
And Daniel, one more thing. It would be nice if in your responses to the
list you would include at least part of the original questions. I find
myself forgetting the original question sometimes.
