Re: the welded (locked) differential idea... From what I've heard from a local guy autocrossing with one here, it's a good idea on a race track where you're going fast and can slide the car around; but, on a tight autocross course he says you -HAVE- to 'throw' the car around to keep it loose enough to turn well. Apparently the lack of slippage promotes understeer on a tight course. Ed in NC |
