All I know everything was fine until I did my 500 mile check. The car seem
to be running perfect, howver when I checked the timing it was off so I
advanced it. I also retorqued head, checked valves etc. Well then the car
was rattling terribly. After everybody's suggestions the other day that
timing is the problem I checked it again. It seemed ok. but I retarded it
some anyway. This reduced the rattling. I retarded it some more and now the
rattling is gone, however when I check the timing ( static) the setting
suggests it is very retarded, but the car is now running great . Go
figure???!!!! Carol '59 Bugeye
