Just to remind all what I was told when I blew my first head gasket. If you drive the car a short distance like 1 mile or so to school or work in the morning then another mile or so back home every day after a while the head gasket will give out. This happened to me on my first Sprite (1972) and my son's Mini (1997) There was no other reason (in my mind) other then what this old timer mechanic told me back in 72 about short distance drives. Just what I've heard, no proof in this therory. -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ Lots of LBCs http://www.exit109.com/~spritenut |
