The rule of thumb is that for every 10% change in aspect ratio (the '70'
in the above size) you should change the width by 20mm (the '155' in the
above size example).
  i.e. When going from a 155/70 to a 60 series tire you would get a 175/60.
Tire sizing is not necessarily exactly the same between manufacturers, or
even between models within a particular manufacturer's lineup.
A 165/70 tire from one manufacturer could have a diameter like that of a
175/70 from another manufacturer.
Ask the dealer to check their catalog for diameters; and even then it's
probably kindofa 'nominal' sizing.

Useable tire widths for your car depend a lot on rim width -and- offset.
The square-arch car can't take much extra negative offset before the tire
starts rubbing fenders in the rear.
ex: A 6x13 Vega GT -bare rim- will fit under the rear fender, but it's
so close to the outer fender that -any- tire would almost certainly rub.

  Personal Opinion Time:
>>Whitewalls , blackwalls, or raised white letters for chrome wires ?

Always blackwalls on a Spridget, regardless of the wheels. :-) :-) :-)
