a smoother acting clutch, less of an on/off feel to the clutch.
The Rivergate cylinder is the wrong size IMHO, so that the *active* clutch
travel (the part of moving your foot that actually engages the clutch) is
very short and it is hard to start off smoothly.  This also makes the
clutch pedal stiffer than the original.  A larger slave cylinder should
cure this and make the clutch feel more like the original.

This also helps me get back into the right lane faster when I am done
passing (even if I am going the speed limit)  :-)
